Some of you may be thinking, 'Why do we have a regional forum?' or 'What is the point in one?'.

Although in NationStates there are some regions that are just a place for nations to exist in; there are other regions (like ours) that wish to get more out of our experience. To do this, we supplement the in-game resources, such as the board and the telegram system, with an external forum. This offers us a more permanent record of our actions as well as providing a more organized means of communication. Thanks to our forum we can have a regional government with many different sections designated to the different departments.

Now you may be wondering: 'But do I really need to join the forum?'.

The short answer is no, you don't have to join the forum. The most important announcements will be covered using the in-game means of communication. The long answer is more complicated. I think that to get the most our of both our region and the NS game in general a forum in necessary. As a region, we do NOT require that you register the forums. However, many of the aspects that make our region what it is are covered here in the forums. It is also the best way to get promoted in rank.
